Take two denim shirts, add a few well chosen accessories and you have yourself five completely different looks to take you from daytime to playtime.
When I was asked to style some denim from the F&F at Tesco range I was a little dubious for two reasons; one, I have never shopped at a supermarket brand so I was a little concerned the quality wouldn't be what I'm used to and two, I am definitely not a fan of denim.
More specifically jeans - I own one pair (seen) of ripped, baggy, very old Gap jeans but apart from that... I just don't 'do' jeans. My figure is not jean-friendly; I have a big ass and thighs and a small waist so they're just a 'mare to find.
So why did I accept the challenge? Well, I am not a girl to be sartorially defeated. I wanted to see how I could work denim into my wardrobe. The items I chose were denim shirts in a light and a dark wash and I aimed to work them into my wardrobe over the course of a couple of weeks.
The quality of the shirts is amazing, the cut is really flattering and they're the perfect thickness (thin enough so they're not bulky and thick enough that they feel luxe). I've been wearing them to work under blazers to achieve that 'high-low' look. They also add a masculine touch to a pencil skirt.
Below are a few looks that I put together; let me know what you think!
