I'm coming out- I wear glasses. I have done for many years- against my will. I just genuinely didn't think they suited me. I have tried many frames and each style I've ended up regretting.
My current pair are Tommy Hilfiger at Specsavers (which I quite like) and I was surprised to find out that a lot of my work collegues thought they were fake!! LOL. As if I'd wear fake glasses.
They are prescription, rest assured.
Anyway, as I'm sure a lot of my readers (hey) wear specs- read on for a guide on how to choose glasses for your face shape...
Eyewear can make a statement just the same way shoes, jewellery, or other accessories can. this year’s glasses come in an array of diverse styles, shapes, and colours.
Although there are glasses to suit every face, finding eyewear that is fashionable, comfortable, and suits you can be difficult. While you may want to sport some of the latest eyewear trends, such as the square, black frames sported by hipsters around the globe, they may not look right on your face, or, unless you’re wearing contacts from Acuvue, be suitable with your eyeglass prescription.
Square FramesPart of the nerdy, hipster trend, squared frames have been extremely popular with both trendsetters and hipsters, and it doesn't look like this eyewear fad is going to go away any time soon as everyone from pop stars like Justin Timberlake to actors like Jennifer Aniston have been spotted wearing these dorky, yet cool frames. Although your inner hipster or school marm may be yearning to wear these classic frames, they aren't made for everyone. Like any eyewear accessory, you must be sure that they are compatible with your prescription as the higher your prescription, the smaller your frames should be. Before you invest in a pair of cool frames, make sure they complement the shape of your face and are appropriate for your prescription lenses.
Round FramesAlthough square-framed glasses are have been popular fashion accessories for several years now, there are a number of other frame shapes that are fashionable. Similar to square frames, round eyeglasses are becoming a trend among the fashion forward. These frames are reminiscent of the spectacles worn by the studious set and the dark shades worn by flower children and hipsters during the 1960’s.
