Last Thursday saw the River Island high summer press day, ironic really...
...as it was the wettest day I’ve seen all year and I arrived looking like a drowned rat, to be greeted by Pina Colada cocktails and Mojito flavour Ice cream!
It was nice to imagine it was actually summer and I didn’t have to go back into the monsoon outside. The collection itself was pure Ibiza- it made me yearn for a beach and some banging beats.
They have once again collaborated on a collection with super-club Pacha, so look no further for your holiday gear (even though it’s probably a long way off).
This was seriously one of the best press days I've been to, River Island went all out and made it really fun. I've been to some where you feel very awkward and have to make stilted conversation with PRs but this one had dancers, ice cream, realllllly lovely River Island PRs and (I'm guessing) the plentiful cocktails really helped. I had a raging hangover the next day- always an indicator of a pleasant evening!
