Anyone can attend LFW, it doesn't matter whether you're a fashion student/fan/blogger or, I don't know... you sell insurance for a living.
Firstly, it's important to note that; in order to go to Somerset House you need... NOTHING.
It's public domain. You can just show up, watch the shows on the big screen and soak up the vibes (oh, and maybe get street-snapped a million times).
To actually go to the shows you need a TICKET (or to be Alexa Chung/ Anna Wintour/ Kate Moss) and the PRs give out the invites.
HOW TO ASK PRs FOR SHOW TICKETS
1/ Check out the LFW schedule here. Decide which shows you want to attend.
3/ Find the relevant email addresses here.
2/ Email the PR. The subject line should state: 'Ticket request for XXXX show' (not in a smutty x-rated way, replace the X's with the designer's name!).
4/ Address the PR by name (spell check). Keep it brief and succinct. State who you are, any relevant examples of work; a good idea is to take a few screengrabs of your website/blog/articles and attach them. It's a quick way for the PR to check out your stuff.
If you're a blogger it's a good idea to give them your blog stats too.
5/ Be polite, wish them luck with the show. Check spelling and grammar.
6/ Always put your address and contact in the email. PRs often get thousands of requests and will just send tickets out rather than responding. Tickets are always mailed to your address, you must have a LONDON address to receive them, so if you're outside London- ask a LDN based friend for a favour.
NB/ You should only request tickets for yourself. Unless you're Anna Dello Russo, you most likely won't get a Plus One. Seats are scarce (gold dust if you will). Everyone else is a solo fashionista though, so don't let that put you off!
Anyway, that's the ticket section covered, I think. Apply ASAP before it gets too late. Don't be offended by rejection as it really is not personal. You probably won't get Tom Ford tickets but you may get to see a cool young designer!
I highly recommend trying to attend at least one show if you haven't before, because if you love fashion it is like FASHION CRACK. Soooo exhilarating!
Good luck, I hope that helped and stay tuned for the 2nd installment of my LFW guide. x
... Now, what to wear??? Ideas below. x

This is amazing, i didn't know anyone could get tickets! although I'm not based in london so im gonna stick to standing outside and take lots of photos of cool people haha xx
I love your insight into this world. Unfortunately I'm no where near London, but it's interesting to know that it isn't an exclusive event. I look forward to your next post about LFW!

Can I just add that you might as well apply for all shows on the schedule if you have the patience - you're PROBABLY not going to get Mulberry or anything but the PR might be short on attendees or even think you're someone else much more important. The latter happened to someone I know last season!!

:D great guide!
ahhh this is so useful! don't think I'd be brave enough to ask yet (bit of a wimp!) but I've always wondered how was best to get tickets.. hopefully this'll come in handy in the future! x
Dotty is right- ask for all of them- you might get lucky. x
Can you only ask for one ticket for yourself? Not sure i would be brave enough to go on my own haha xx
Yeah- there is such competition for tickets that you can only ask for yourself- unless you're a big deal. Everyone else is alone, pretty much. x
This post is fantastic! Thankyou so much :) Probably won't have time to go this year with work and starting uni etc. Roll on A/W14 shows for me ;)

Hopefully I'll see you there. :) xx
Great post, it's a shame you have to have a London address to receive tickets though.
This is such a great post, thank you so much for all the tips! Unfortunately, I'm a bit late to the game and will have to apply for next season. I am definitely gonna head to Somerset House for some street style snapping and hopeful Alexa Chung spotting!
