When Music Magpie asked me to write about a musician who influences my style, I was a bit stumped... well, there are so many! Rihanna, Gwen, Brooke Candy, Shirley Manson, Beyonce... it's endless. So I thought I'd go for someone a bit unexpected, who I don't really dress like but would love to...
Alison Mosshart of The Kills and The Dead Weather. I have a lot of respect for her as she's in a male dominated industry and doesn't feel the need to sex-it-up to gain recognition. Her style is all about the rock'n'roll swag. She wears basic staples, but on her they look ICE cold. How she can wear a pair of jeans and a check shirt and look amazing is beyond me.
Anyway, here is my attempt at an Alison Mosshart ensemble. I Sheree-ified it up a bit (obvs) but there you go!
