Thrifty Finds: Second Hand Haul

The wonderful J.Noir informed me that the East End Thrift Store were having a jumble sale. As a non-Londoner I'm always glad of ANY tips on where to shop/eat/dance (hint hint) so I took myself along there and had a good old rummage.

Now, believe it or not, but in the whole of my very extensive wardrobe, there is not one Denim jacket. I know it's a wardrobe staple, but I'm not really about the staples. Ask me for a feathered cape or a beaded ball-gown and I'll have twenty, but the basics, like jeans, pyjamas, underwear... I am sadly lacking.

I now work in East London, so I will make one concession to being in Shoreditch and that is wear the obligatory vintage denim jacket. I don't know why I've held out so long. It's a handy transitional item. Also, these 2 babies set me back £4 a piece, so even if I don't wear them loads, it's OK. I plan to wear the one with leather details loads as it fits really well and customise the other one with diamantes and studs!

The bejewelled number below was an eBay purchase. When I opened the package in which it came, I literally had a mini fash-gasm! It is the most perfect jacket I own (and that's saying something). I paid £12, but I would pay £100 for this, I love it so much. It's long-length and super chic. It's a Frank Usher design for you eBayers.

Anyway, that's my little haul. I'm a poor intern, it may be my last for a while.

Love the jacket! I really really want one! I think I may have to make a venture to East on the weekend. I am dreadful at using Ebay which is wear everyone seems to get all their best buys! x

The sparkly jacket is AMAZING - it looks really expensive, can't believe how cheaply you got it! I had an interview for a job in London today, if I get it I'll totally be hitting you up for shopping advice! x

And I’m with you on not having wardrobe stables.
