OOTD: £5 Vintage Dress

It is a miracle that this post is up, after an episode involving a stolen camera and many tears over lost photos, imagine my surprise/joy when I found the memory card in the bottom of my bag! Thank God I'm clumsy and had damaged said camera a bit so the memory card kept falling out. I had loads of photos on it, so I'm happy/relived.

On a brighter note- this dress cost me the grand sum of £5 English pounds from Absolute Vintage in Shoreditch, I was shopping with very stylish fellow blogger Jen (www.jjnoir.blogspot.com) and this beaut was in the bargain bin. My eyes were immediately drawn to the sparkle and I dragged it out from under several layers of vintage tat.

It was long length, it was sparkly. It was sold.

I neglected to try it on and it's a bit big around my (lack of) bust, but otherwise perfect!

I'm not a massive vintage shopper, I do end up having a lot of vintage items, but I HATE rummaging, I just CBA. I think I just have good luck when it comes to thrifting. I'll walk into a shop and see one amazing thing instantly, I never rummage. I think my success is less to do with a honed eye than a magpie's instincts to seek out shiny things!

It really is soooo sparkly, the photos don't do it justice. I wore this to the Secretsales 5th Birthday Party at The Box with Red Lips (Limecrime in Retrofuturist) and Red Flatforms from the Office sale (£12! Bargain).

Has anyone else got an uber bargain recently? What's your stance on Vintage shopping?

Love the dress !
I love the idea of owning vintage pieces but i find it hard to do as all the vintage shops in my area are rather expensive and only stock very small sizes :(
Hope you sort something out about your camera !

I find that vintage shops stock larger sizes and it's easier to grab a bargain if you're a less common size. Xx
