I anticipate a barrage of abuse due to the fact I'm wearing fur here... but;
A/ It's a free country
B/ I do NOT agree with the cruelty involved in the fur trade and would never wear a new fur item
C/ This was passed down to me and it's very old so me not wearing it really makes no difference to anything
D/ It looks so nice
E/ It's warm
I guess what I'm trying to say is, I think it's OK to wear vintage furs. It's been quite nippy at night now, but I'm stoked as it gives me opportunity to wear jackets again!
The Silver top I got from SecretSales (thank you) whose 5th Birthday Party I attended on Tuesday. It was held at The Box in SoHo which is absolutely amazing! Debauched and naughty. I couldn't take any photos as it's not allowed in The Box! It's all hush hush, so I won't spoil the mystery by spilling the beans about what goes on there. Just go for yourselves, seriously, it's awesome.
Anyway, I thought I'd take this opportunity to introduce you to my 'Desert Island' beauty item... Bobbi Brown Gel Liner. I have been using it for about 7 years, and in that time have probably only bought about 7 pots as it lasts that long. I use it pretty much everyday and it is undoubtedly the BEST eyeliner in the world.
Have you used it? What do you think of it?

Lovely outfit. I sort of agree with the fur thing I'd never by new and yes the fur trade is wrong but vintage is fine xxx
I don't mind at all if people wear fur coats, but I HATE FOXES :( I am literally terrified of them, I couldn't wear that one i'd cry! I do agree though that vintage ones don't really make a difference. At the bootsale today an old man was selling like 10 real fur coats, they are sooo soft! I'm just not sure if i'd feel a bit strange wearing one. But you look fabulous as per. And I love the Bobbi gel eyeliner too, I picked one up from the bootsale recently but its a brown one, not exactly my style but I love it! But I have no decent brushes for it so it always comes out all chunky!

Love the outfit, I personally wouldn't wear real fur but I wouldn't prosecute anyone for wearing it, each to their own xx

It's 'fur' enough to have your own opinions. I just hate when people force them upon you. I love animals, but if you eat meat and wear leather, what's the difference with fur? xxx

I'm a non strict vegetarian (I eat fish and wear leather) so I do care about animal cruelty and I would never buy real fur but I think there's nothing wrong with vintage fur - like you say someone else bought it years ago so it's not like you're funding the fur industry by wearing it!

I think it looks lovely! I have two vintage mink coats my Grandma passed down to me last year and agree with everything you said - it might as well be worn as nothing can be done about vintage fur!
