I don't know if you've heard but there's a sports competition in London this year, it's quite a big deal... er, The Olympics? Or something like that.
Anyway, I hadn't managed to see the torch on it's journey round the UK, so myself and my friends headed to Buckingham Palace to see it. I must say, it was a bit crap- I couldn't really see it that well, but I did glimpse Wills and Kate!!!! Obviously I was super excited about that!
We got some Union Jacks from a cheap souvenir shop to be extra patriotic and quite a few bottles of vino to enjoy... not trampy- we were outside a Palace, which, I think, elevated our street drinking to new levels of class.
I am really feeling the Olympic spirit now, I'm sure it'll annoy me at some point as I'm a Londoner now and need to get about on public transport, but there's a great atmosphere in the city. Tonight I'll be watching the opening Ceremony with friends, eating cake and listening to my new Spice Girls CD (from the pound Shop!).
