TIE DYE... D.I.Y Guide

After lots of YouTube-ing looking for the best Tie Dye tips, I discovered that the best way to do it is just get a ton of rubber bands and scrunch/twist/knot away!
No point being too technical at first, and it's fun having NO IDEA what it will turn out like.
I had a load of tired looking American Apparel jersey dresses that needed an update and this is the perfect way to do it...

All you need is;
 Dylon Cold water dyes (£2), they do loads of colours!
Rubber bands
washing up bowl

I left my items in a lighter dye (lilac) for an afternoon, then put them in a darker dye (pink) overnight.
I then threw them all in a fast wash in the machine so any excess dye was removed, et voilĂ !
I'm definitely gonna do some more tie dying, it's so fun.
What do you think of the results? Are you into Tie Dye at the moment?

Have you tried to just dye things half a half? so they sort of fade into each other?
You've given me a great idea to youtube them and the first dress you've dyed is absolutely gorgeous!
